Hi! Welcome to my journal.

I know I've written some things that are scary and some things that are kinky, but I'm actually a very nice girl, honest.

If you want to friend me you totally should, no need to ask permission. I currently have a policy of friending everybody back (when I get around to it) because you can never have too many friends. So far I haven't felt the need to post anything but stories, so I probably won't end up spamming your flist unless I undergo a drastic personality change and am suddenly able to write superfast.

If you're interested in beta reading for me at all please let me know. You can leave a comment on this post, or on any of my stories, or PM me or whatever. I've never had a beta reader but I'd like to try it at least once and see if it helps me write better. God knows I could use an outside perspective.

I don't care if you've never beta read before and I don't care if you suck at grammar/spelling/English. I mainly just want someone to bounce ideas off of/be honest with me about what part of something could use work. Perks of the job will most likely include: listening to me fret about how insecure I am about writing, getting to read a lower-quality version of my story (but sooner though! you get to read it sooner!), and having to be brutally honest about things that are just not working for you, even though I may *love* them and think they are *so* poetic.

Now that I've succeeded in driving you away, carry on and pretend this never happened. I'm all set for now! :)

Hi Mya! Wow, I'm so tempted to volunteer to try and beta for you. I've only read your sin!verse so far, just now, but I really find your writing vivid and compelling. Only problem is, I'd totally suck as a beta because I can't promise timeliness, as I'm in grad school now and what minuscule free time I have is spent, um, reading porn. :P

So, I can't guarantee response times (there may even be a few days at a time when I don't check email), but if you haven't found another beta yet I'd be willing to give it a shot? Also I should tell you that I haven't beta'd before, but I've read a LOT of fic and I know what I like and what works for me. So, um- I know this is a sketchy offer but I couldn't resist. Totally tell me no thanks if you don't think it would be helpful.

Also fyi, friending you now so I can keep an eye on your journal. ;)

Hi strangecharmed1! First off, thank you so much for your kind words. Also, thank you for offering your services as beta. I really really appreciate it. I know all about trying to find the time to squeeze in some internet porn, so I'm really honored you're even tempted to offer yourself as a beta. :)

Here's what I'm thinking: I think Livejournal has an option so that I could post an entry only you and I could see. I usually privately post a story a day or two before unlocking it anyway, because I tend to go back over and over (and over) and tweak things and rewrite, and I like to see how it looks in journal format as I go along.

So basically I'm thinking if I enable you to see my rough draft when I first post it it'll (hopefully) show up on your f-list, and then if you notice it on there and aren't slammed with work/real life obligations you can comment on the entry with suggestions/corrections/questions etc. as detailed or as general as you happen to have the time for.

Meanwhile I'll be running through it in my spare time anyway, and even if I haven't heard from you I'll unlock it and officially post it whenever I feel like it's as done as it's going to be. (Most likely after a day or two.) That way there's no pressure or anything, and if you do have the time to leave a suggestion or two it's just like a bonus for me.

I'm not sure anybody else does this/has ever done this, but what the hell, I've never had a beta and you've never been a beta, so I figure let's make our own rules.

I'm gonna go friend you back now (yay friends!) and then if you see no objections to doing it this way I'll post a test entry to see if it works the way I'm hoping it will. Let me know though, if you'd rather do it by e-mail or some other way I've never heard of, I'm totally flexible and just really excited you're even interested in helping me at all. :)

Hi! My name's Zara. I got here via your Jensen/Jared story for the Kink Meme and then kind of hung out. That story kind of drew me in against my will. I appreciate how you took a pretty straightforward, kinky request and made it into something dark and compelling. That Jensen gave me the shivers.

I also really dig your Sin!Verse. You write hurt!Sam so well -- he's just the kind of kid who'd think things over enough to be able to tell Dean that he both wants to be touched and can't stand to be touched at the same time. And my heart hurts for Dean, who's made the whole ordeal into a life lesson that you can't trust anybody. I've never read a story about the aftermath of John/Sam rape like this, but I think you're absolutely right. Dean's dealing with his own brand of hurt.

You totally don't know me, but I wanted to offer my services as a beta-reader, if you want another. I really like your writing style, and I'd love the chance to read your fic first. =D I also love brainstorming story ideas and geeking out over canon details, so if any of that is useful to you, let me know!

I've never been a big fan of RPS but goodgod, "Something Darkly Curled Unfurling" was fucking brilliant! Likewhoa. So yes, consider your journal thoroughly stalked.

I've never beta'd and I can't say I'm the best at constructive criticism.... but I can proof a paper like no one's business. Just sayin'. :)
